Feature Tour

Learn more about what CueCam does and how it works. We'll break it into four categories.

Prepare

With CueCam Presenter's smart script editor you never need to show up unprepared.

Plan out your talking points or figure out precise phrasing with a simple text-editing interface.

Add structure and emphasis with titles and bullet points, and illustrate your ideas by adding pictures and videos.

Organise Your Thoughts

Use CueCam's card-based text editor to organise your thoughts.

Text-based cards drive your teleprompter, titles and bullet points.

Drag & drop cards and hop around with keyboard shortcuts to build and refine your script with the minimum of friction.

Add notes for yourself after bullet points using brackets.

Or you can copy-paste from Apple Notes with your script automatically split into different cards and images included.

Walkable neighbourhoods
Today we'll discuss how prioritising pedestrian and cycle traffic over cars, we can drastically improve our cities.
Social Benefits
* Community Building (interaction between neighbours, opportunities for local business) * Health (encourages physical activity, walking) * Safety (Fewer cars reduces accidents, eyes on street improve community vigilance)

Simple Slides

It's easy to add titles, bullets and images with drag and drop, a popup editor or simple Markdown text.

Environmental Benefits

  • • Reduced Carbon Footprint
  • • Green Spaces
  • • Sustainable Resources

Add Images & Videos

Drag and drop images onto your cards to include them in your presentation.

Sensible layout choices:

  • left/right-side (like you're a news anchor)
  • lower/upper-thirds (with an avatar icon)
  • centered

Add full-screen background images and branding overlays.

Videos can be looped, muted or played with sound.

All media is bundled with your document making scripts and presentations easy to share.

Share Your Desktop

You can share your desktop with no permissions required.

Choose a whole display, a specific app or window.

Include audio from any window, making it simple to play back YouTube videos or patch the sound from any other app.

And unlike with other audio-routing software, you don't need to turn off your Mac's security features to install.

Add a Second Camera

You're not limited to using your iPhone - you can use any webcam on your Mac.

Your main camera can be used as picture-in-picture.

What about Continuity Camera?

While Continuity Camera is the easiest way to use your iPhone as a webcam on macOS, in some situations it is too limited.

With Shoot, you have much more control. You're not limited to the back-facing camera. Connectivity is a bit less unpredictable.

And you can fully control your camera's settings from your Mac. ISO, shutter speed, focus, and even the brightness of the flashlight.

Can I use LUTs?

If you're using a logarithmic color profile on your main camera, just drag any LUT in .cube format directly into CueCam's main window.

I have a green screen

If you have a green screen, you can turn on chroma key mode for your camera and break out the tiny picture-in-picture bubble!

Control your iPhone camera's ISO, Shutter Speed, White Balance, Zoom, Focus and more, directly from your Mac.

Collaborate

CueCam is built from the ground up with collaboration in mind.

By focusing on content instead of technical configuration, you'll find it easy to share your work with others.

Need some design or motion graphics? Have someone on your design team create assets which can be sent embedded in CueCam scripts for the whole team to use.

Missing devices?

If a CueCam script relies on a certain window or camera view to be shared, a message will appear allowing any recipient to quickly resolve the problem.

Connect

CueCam gives you a virtual camera and virtual mic that can be used anywhere on your Mac.

Bring Anywhere

Icons for Zoom, Meet, Teams and WebEx

You can connect with Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime, or go live with OBS, Ecamm Live or mimoLive, or just record into QuickTime.

FaceTime? Really?

Sounds like you've tried some other virtual cameras and discovered they didn't work in FaceTime!

Older virtual cameras use a technology that can pose security and stability problems to video apps as they run in the host process.

Apple provides a more secure "Camera Extensions" framework that allows virtual cameras to run in their own process.

Apple does not allow older camera extensions to run in FaceTime or QuickTime, but CueCam uses the latest frameworks to make sure you can use it everywhere.

Use your iPhone as a Camera, Teleprompter and External Display

Place your iPhone on a tripod and fire up Shoot.

Mirror your video conferencing window to Shoot and you can read off your notes without breaking eye contact.

Shoot's Face Follow feature even understands where your titles appear and can pan the camera to prevent your face being covered.

Already have a teleprompter?
Teleprompter pic

If you want to use a real teleprompter, CueCam gives you a floating HUD that you can drag to its display.

You'll get a transparent window with your presenter notes blended into the window behind using Apple's "Vibrancy" effect for maximum clarity.

The HUD also shows you what's coming up next, shows your audio meters and shows you how long your presentation has been running.

Check Your Audio

CueCam's Virtual Mic makes it easy to mix in sound from videos and screen shares.

LUFS-based audio metering gives you the best possible visual indication that you're coming through loud and clear.

And if you get too loud, CueCam's HUD will flash orange or red to let you know.

LUFS?

LUFS stands for Loudness Unit Full Scale. But that doesn't really explain it.

It's a way of measuring sound that is more accurate than most metering you'll see in hifi equipment, other apps or even professional mixers.

The way we perceive sound is factored into LUFS measurements in clever ways.

This means that the number is a really accurate represenatation of how loud the audio actually FEELS.

In CueCam, when you click to change your levels, you get all the information you could need, with momentary and short term LUFS levels and an input fader that takes control of the input at a system level.

Audio Sync?
Delay Calculator screenshot

CueCam has a built-in delay calculator.

With the click of a button you'll be asked to clap your hands, and with a couple more clicks you can sync up your audio precisely.

Green means go, red means no!

What You DON'T Need

  • ❌ Power bricks and wall warts
  • ❌ AV cabling
  • ❌ Special purpose connectors and converters
  • ❌ Networking gear requiring routing management skills

  • Standard cabling and connectors
  • Extensive TCP, UVC and audio routing
  • Consistent graphics across devices using Apple development frameworks

Present

You can run through your show without having to remember where anything is or what buttons you need to press.

It's like having a TV control room behind you, without a producer talking in your ear.

And it's easy take a diversion at any moment with your "control pads" or using your Stream Deck.

Start!

Start your talk to step through your cards one at a time.

Titles will appear in your feed, bullet points appear one at a time and pics and videos too.

Press to start. Press again to proceed. Press to show the next bullet point. No need to think. Just press.

Video Pencil

With Video Pencil, your iPad will show what you’re sharing and you can draw on it, use the laser pointer and remote control your presentation from the iPad.

Video Pencil connects automatically to CueCam Presenter.

Already own Video Pencil?

If you download CueCam for free and use it with Video Pencil, your Video Pencil purchases will be discounted from your Suite plan.

Aside 3D

At any moment you can set aside whatever you are presenting and address the camera, full screen.

Aside 3D is great for video calls.

You can let people see that you're reading the website they just shared without saying a word.

Live Titles

If your drawing needs a label and scrawling labels is a pain, just draw a line and say the word and it appears like magic.

Stream Deck Friendly

With a fully-featured Stream Deck Plugin included, CueCam shines with even the smallest model.

Shine

Once you've got the hang of the basics, there's a lot more power to unlock.

Music

CueCam treats music as music, not just some arbitrary audio file.

Have your theme music fade smoothly as your titles appear, then fade into the background when you start talking.

You don't have to ride faders, just set it up on your cards.

Countdown Clock

CueCam has a super-cool countdown clock if you want to let people know when things kick off.

Just set your start time and when you press Start a neat clock will appear on the left of the screen.

Where have I seen this design?

This design was inspired by the 1980's VHS videos made for the classroom in the UK.

Ultimate Flexibility

With triggers you can set events in motion, in all sorts of places.

Keyboard Triggers let you send a keyboard shortcut to a specific app.

URL Triggers can ping a website or send a deep-link to an app on your Mac.

OSC Triggers allow you to integrate with all manner of broadcast and artistic tools.

The only limit is your imagination!

Live Streaming

CueCam is an evolution of an app that was built for Ecamm Live, OBS and mimoLive.

You can build on the simplicity of CueCam with fully customised configurations in your live streaming software of choice.

Scenes will be loaded automatically into CueCam and you can trigger scene changes from your cards.

No longer will you need three Stream Decks to cover your needs, just walk through your sequence with CueCam.

Interviewing guests? Trigger an Interview Mode scene after you've finished your scripted intro.

Need a more complex camera arrangement? Go for it.

Use Ecamm Live?

CueCam's virtual camera saves setting up complex projects with many scenes, allowing you to focus on what you want to say.

But if you need more control, CueCam will let you automatically switch scenes in Ecamm and send other commands as you run through your presentations.

We love using Ecamm's Interview Mode, live streaming and recording capabilities, and it's great to know that any time we need a bit more control, CueCam unlocks even more of Ecamm's power.

Use OBS?

CueCam's virtual camera saves setting up complex projects with many scenes, allowing you to focus on what you want to say.

But if you need more control, CueCam will let you automatically switch scenes and send other commands as you run through your presentations.

Prefer mimoLive?

You're covered.

CueCam picks up your Layer Sets and lets you walk between them like scenes in Ecamm or OBS.
