Showing Things On Your Webcam With CueCam Presenter
YouTube - Watch this post's supporting video.
When I talk about sharing in CueCam I’m talking about instantly bringing up pictures, videos, screen shares, slides or sketching directly in your webcam feed.
No screen sharing permissions.
No awkwardly holding things up to the camera.
No scrabbling around and breaking the flow of the conversation.
No disappearing from view - you stay on camera, superimposed on whatever you’re showing.
I hear it over and over again - “If I’d had CueCam and Video Pencil on my call yesterday, we would have saved SO MUCH CONFUSION”.
On a video call, a picture really is a thousand words, especially if you can draw a circle around the bit you’re talking about.
Once you have the habit, it’s hard to go back.
Today I’ll take you through the details of sharing different types of content using CueCam Presenter.
Drawing
Have a look at the “Beginners Guide - Draw On Your Webcam with Video Pencil and CueCam Presenter” to see how to set up drawing.
Once you’re set up, you will see your Mac’s webcam on your iPad screen, and when you draw, it shows on your Mac.

But with CueCam, you can show more than just your webcam.
Showing Pictures
To share a picture in CueCam, just drag it into CueCam’s window.

You. can click the FaceCam button at the bottom so people can still see you.
Tap the share bar for Aside 3d which lets you instantly move the picture out of the way so everybody can see you properly.
I’m using the Virtual Green Screen option here so I’m cut out over the background.
You don’t even need to drag it to the CueCam window, you can just drag it to the icon. So if Zoom is in the foreground, you don’t have to hide it!
When you’re sharing a picture, use the scroll wheel or pinch with the trackpad to zoom in.

Hit “Reset Zoom” at the top-right to bring it back to normal.
Showing Videos
Videos works just the same way. Drag in a video to play it on your webcam.

You can zoom in and draw the same way.
You can also remote control the video playback directly from your iPad.

Showing Your Screen
Here’s how you share an application window.

You can zoom in the same way, draw the same way, and look how much more convenient it is to move it in and out of the way than using screen sharing in Zoom!
